Our Mission
Finishing what we started: finding a cure for Sclerosing Epithelioid Fibrosarcoma
Our Mission
The Rucker Collier Foundation’s mission focuses on raising funds to expand the scope of scientific research needed to find effective therapies for Sclerosing Epithelioid Fibrosarcoma (“SEF”) and supporting families affected by SEF and other rare pediatric sarcomas in order to enable them to better advocate for their children. We will also support organizations that touched our lives in a meaningful way during Rucker’s fight against SEF.
“Along the way, I chose to view the rarity of his disease not as a limitation but as an opportunity. I thought, ‘we can make a difference. We can forge a path in the wilderness.’”
— John Collier
What We Plan to Achieve
Continue to fund research to find effective therapies for Sclerosing Epithelioid Fibrosarcoma (SEF).
Raise awareness of and advocate for the funding of orphan pediatric cancer research.
Help parents and caregivers advocate for their children by helping to knock down the barriers to get the right treatment and provide financial support if needed.
Support organizations that we have personally been touched by throughout our journey.
