Successful Surgery and Settled in for the Night

Rucker came out of surgery a little groggy and in some pain, but slept peacefully for most of the afternoon and evening. Our surgeon Dr. Bierle was very confident she got all of the nodules out, including a few very small ones that weren’t detected on imaging. Rucker has two chest tubes to help his lungs recover, so we expect to be at Children’s for a week before we can go home. Overall it was a successful surgery and he’s doing as well as can be expected. He woke up just a few minutes ago to boss me around and watch Netflix, so that’s a good sign!
